A Decade of Pye Design
I launched Pye Design 10 years ago. Holy smokes.
Throughout the last 10 years I've been fortunate to work so many different kinds of businesses and people. I've learned about industries that I wouldn't have otherwise. And I have met business owners who inspire and feed my own drive. Grateful for every opportunity that has come my way.
In celebration of the past decade, I thought I'd share 10 projects that I've really enjoyed working.
1. Accent Inns If you know me, you know that I love a good pun. So Accent Inns and I share that in common. Working with their team has made me laugh out loud on more than one occasion.
2. Monarch Trancework I love how this brand came out. Eshu Martin is a good friend and his services are invaluable. I highly recommend.
3. Nanaimo Child Development Centre A cornerstone for our city. I was honoured to be given a chance to rebrand this amazing non-profit.
4. Sheringham Distillery This project was a mix of watercolour paint and digital - two of my favourite things!
5. Eagle Homes What didn't we create together? Website, vehicle graphics, signage, printed materials... and we had a blast doing it.
6. Shamrock Farm This one is going back a ways but I love the mix of rustic and clean in this logo. I still have one of these trays sitting in my living room.
7. Huckleberry Baby Shop This one is going back even farther! Unfortunately, Huckleberry Baby Shop recently closed their doors. But I loved creating this brand, and when I was pregnant they gifted me diapers with the pattern that we had created together. So special!
8. Hummingbird Drones I really enjoyed the challenge of creating these data-fueld marketing pieces. Infographics are an art (science?) in themselves. These guys have a fascinating technology that you should check out if you haven't already.
9. City of Nanaimo Banners! Shown here are the banners for 2020, 2022 and 2024! So excited to see the new banners go up this Spring. They commemorate the 150 years since the City of Nanaimo's incorporating in 1874. I've also had the privilege of creating the 150 brand for the city, which is coming soon!
10. Hotel Zed Arguably my most fun client. From spicy illustrations to promote their 'Nooner' campaign, to designing their Tofino location from the ground up, these guys always keep me on my toes and I am here for it!
